Kristian Cestaro
Kristian Torres Cestaro is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu master, born in São Paulo in 1976.
He is a fourth-degree black belt, graded under professors Rolker Gracie and Royler Gracie at the legendary Gracie Humaitá academy.
Kristian started teaching jiu-jitsu while still training as a purple belt. As a competitor he achieved serious results: state and Brazilian champion, a winner and medallist at IBJJF European championships and at international masters tournaments.
In 2011 he came to Russia to teach Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He was one of the first Brazilian masters to arrive not simply to run seminars or work for a season, but to stay, build a life and raise a family here.
In time Kristian founded his central academy, which became the foundation of his school. Under his guidance came black belts, athletes with titles at every level, and coaches who now develop Brazilian jiu-jitsu both in Russia and abroad.
Producing champions was never his only goal. His mission is to show people what jiu-jitsu can give in every part of life: discipline, confidence, character, respect, physical condition and the drive to keep getting better.
Today the Kristian Cestaro Association carries that legacy forward and unites a network of branches in Russia and beyond, passing the knowledge and philosophy of Brazilian jiu-jitsu to the next generation.
Professor Kristian still teaches actively, runs seminars and competes. For him jiu-jitsu is not just a sport but a constant path of growth, learning and new challenges.
